Gorgeous vintage gallery Antique framed Art home decor - Rare collectible piece of history In the mid-1850s Painting: Bufford of Boston, Massachusetts published the image, rendered by lithographer Leo Grozelier. On the print is the Arkansas Traveler song line designed by a native & Dedicated to Col. S. C. Faulkner. The Arkansas Traveler is an honorary title bestowed on notable individuals who, through their actions serve as ambassadors for the US state of Arkansas. A certificate is signed by the governor, secretary of state & the recipient's sponsor, & given to the honoree during a ceremony attended by the signers. The story of the “Arkansas Traveler" naturally has its roots in Arkansas, but over time it has come to be a universal American folk tale. The origin of this tale is in a story recounted by Colonel Sanford Faulkner, an Arkansas farmer / politician. This is a great historical piece & in a beautiful frame.
