This is a moleskin jacket made with great care by Mind Benders & Classics, a famous shop in Kyobashi, Tokyo, specializing in French and Euro vintage clothing.

This double-breasted moleskin work jacket is one of the rarest pieces of French vintage workwear. Authentic pieces from before the 1930s rarely appear on the vintage market.

Using genuine French moleskin fabric, woven and dyed in France by a long-established French fabric mill dating back to the 19th century, this jacket is entirely made in France, from sewing to finishing. Moleskin is a representative material of vintage French workwear, but it is said that only one manufacturer can currently supply genuine French-made moleskin. Based on patterns from before the 1930s, this jacket incorporates details such as a large, curved open collar, large patch pockets from before the V-hem pocket era, a back panel that wraps around, and a front with 12 wooden buttons from 1930s deadstock. The shop, which specializes in French vintage workwear, has put its heart and soul into this jacket. It has been made as it was in the vintage era, without any modern adaptations. You can feel its good old appearance when you put it on.

The large rounded collar and the sloping shoulder seams. The shaped back seams seen until around the 1930s, and the outward-facing front pockets are also characteristics of old moleskin. The buttons are deadstock from that time.
I removed the limited-edition numbered flasher but have kept it in storage.
I washed it once and wore it for a few hours 2 or 3 times and have stored it carefully.
