Cleaning out my grandma’s brooch collection and came across this gorgeous gem. It has a tiny chip in the bottom circle. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful vintage piece. A safety pin was added so it could be worn as a pendant as well.
This is a vintage Art Deco-style brooch, possibly Czech or by the Neiger Brothers, featuring a green Peking glass stone and enamel accents.
The central, rectangular stone has a marbled green appearance, characteristic of Peking glass used in Art Deco costume jewelry.
The ornate, dark metal filigree setting, T-bar hinge, and enamel detailing are typical of the 1920s Edwardian or Art Deco period.
